Basuki Invited Jokowi to Attend Homestead Athletes Groundbreaking

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama requested President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to attend in the first groundbreaking of homestead athletes development in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, that falls on September 15.

The homestead athlete that prepared for the 2015 Asian Games participants can accommodate 15,000 people. It will be built on land belongs to State Secretariat. Unluckily, its use was approved.

"I hope the president could attend in the groundbreaking of homestead athletes in Kemayoran," he hoped, at City Hall, Tuesday (9/8).

City Gears Up Infrastructure Development for 2018 Asian Games

In its development, PT Jakarta Propertindo was entrusted to build the homestead as wide as 11 and 5 hectares. Jakarta Provincial Government is going to allocate a budget as government capital participation (PMP), PT Jakpro.

Meanwhile, Jakarta government is still waiting for golf course's land conversion which is located at the same place. "We wanted to transform the land into a park as in Victoria Park, precisely football field," expressed Ahok.
